  • Charles Sauriol Parkette, LP (guest) wrote 15 years ago:
This was once where Pottery Road connected to the top of the valley, meeting Hillside Drive instead of Mortimer Ave.
  • Rowntree Park, LP (guest) wrote 15 years ago:
The path up this hillside was once part of Rowntree Road and carried vehicular traffic over the Humber across the wood-and-steel bridge below now open only to pedestrians.
  • Pedestrian Crossing bridge, LP (guest) wrote 15 years ago:
Until Finch Avenue was completed here circa 1988, this was the course of Farr Avenue, connecting to Taysham. Building Finch interrupted the connection between the neighbourhoods so the pedestrian bridge was built to maintain it.

The gosee.ca link has gone dead, and the only other link I'm seeing has a static map rather than the terrific interactive map on the gosee site - quite a shame. As for charlie1, he didn't look very hard I guess; the site lists 25 stores near that intersection, and several of these do sell used laptops. I bought one there some years ago. (Today it makes little sense to buy a used laptop with the way prices have come down while battery life is up Up UP! My new Asus eeePC 1000 gets an honest 8 hours on a full charge - woot!)
