I am staying up late cooking for Easter dinner, no hot water. This is the 2nd time this week. 12:30 AM, I guess I will go to bed and forget about Easter this year. Long weekend, no hot water, I'm guessing it should get fixed around Monday or Tuesday. Avoid this building unless you like cold water and roaches.

The hot water is off again - ORFUS! GET NEW BOILERS! This happens at least once a week. It is now midnight and tomorrow morning there will be lots of unhappy people who are trying to get ready for church on Easter Sunday. time to move after 20 years. The lazy super does nothing to keep the building clean and tells people to stop bothering him.

Wonderful Townhouse Condo complex with well landscaped yards. Condo fees are reasonable and I don't know what the other poster (buyer's remorse) is talking about, homes are garage to garage, so unless you live in your garage too then I would understand your comment, most unit owners have lived here for 20 plus years, they rarely come up for sale, if you don't like it here I am sure you would have no problem selling.

This is not Smokey Joe's Cafe and it never was. That used to be across the street. However, Smokey Joe's closed in about 2012 and there is now a Mexican restaurant there, Estrella.

one of the worst services I've ever seen in town. The super and the manager are very rude. Usually they forget that tenants are paying salary of the employees ( plus the owners ) , so they can buy food for their families. also the building has bedbugs and cockroaches. if you be in the parking lot for half an hour, you might have a chance to see a pest control van over there.

I lived there in the early 1970's. My family was on welfare and this was under Ontario Housing at that time, so comparitively low rent. I cannot comment on the state of the building today other than, if this building (or any building) is under or near Ontario Community Housing, stay away or be afraid, for you will be certain to meet rough and unsavoury people.

Worst building imaginable. Shame on them and Orfus Reality. Smelly hallways reek of Pilipino fish (who leave their doors open to let everyone enjoy the smell as much as they do), noisy neighbours and the water constantly shutting off about every two weeks or so. Also have a huge problem with the drains, clearly these tenants aren't familiar with proper cooking methods and disposal. Not to mention that your storage locker IS NOT secure, I have been victim of theft. Avoid this building, especially since there are comparable options in the immediate area.
  • 490 Wilson Avenue, Moses' Annoyed Neighbor (guest) wrote 10 years ago:
Moses - you play your music way too loud. Sound surround theatre systems and base on stereos were NOT meant for apartment buildings. YOU SHAKE THE WHOLE BUILDING! I might need to buy some mice.
  • 490 Wilson Avenue, Bugged Out (guest) wrote 10 years ago:
Every month there is a bug of the month club at 490 Wilson Avenue. Roaches, ants, mice.. mice mice. Orfus is a slum lord. The low rent is way too much for the NOISE that you will endure in this building. #fail
