The landlord is horrendous here. Raised our rent the maximum amount possible, as early as the lease allowed him. Then 3 months later he's taking us to court so he can raise it even further then he's legally allowed (hence why he needs a court's approval).
Plus we haven't had hot water in our bathroom for weeks.

Of course it was used for something, it was 140 years old. It hadn't been used during the last 10 years.
I'd rather have an empty historic building "taking space" than an empty lot full of weeds - which is what we are left with.
Toronto is such a young city. Why are we in such a rush to destroy our history?
