Let's not forget that building was never used for anything, it was only standing there condemned and taking space. Nowadays space in the downtown area is very expensive and the city is overhauling it's image to attract more tourists and generate more money to cover the expenses, while making Toronto the best toursit destination. Selling that space for development purposes is one of the best move, after all the place was/is hookers nagotiating spot. I hope with the new development to take place it will also improve it's image.
