Only problem is - all of the animals were dead last time I went. More like the "High Park Graveyard for Animals"...

"singles bars" - hogwash. It's merely a play on words that MIGHT have been accurate 15 years ago. I've been here 10 years and it's never matched the play on words. All the clubs are gone except one. Tons of families in the apartment complexes nowdays. I would never use the term "Yuppy" to describe the inhabitants. Perhaps yuppies own the semi-detached houses in the surrounding residential neighbourhoods. (Don't get me wrong - it is a very nice place. It's just the description above that is WAY out of date and flat out wrong.)

This rectangle is too far north, it's encompassing the Drugstore and other shops that are north of the Rose. The Rose (and a club) are the next things immediately south of this rectangle.

Part of it is undergoing renovations at the moment (Facade next to Toys-R-Us.) Also contains a Lenscrafters and Optometrist that allows walk-ins, a decent food court, EB Games http://www.dufferinmall.ca/
